The Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium is 105 acres and has a museum, nature trails, a planetarium, an aviary, a gift shop and meeting/picnic areas. While in the park, you can view Snakes, Alligators, Crocodiles, various Amphibians and Anthropods.
The Calusahatchee Center promotes education and awareness of the natural systems of Southwest Florida and a deeper understanding of Earth and space sciences.
The stars are always out in the Planetarium.
It is the only one in Southwest Florida outside of Bradenton.
